The W.W. Smith Charitable Trust is inviting applications for basic medical research in the areas of heart disease, cancer and AIDS for its upcoming July 15 receipt date. Typical awards are for $100,000 each.
This is a limited submission, and the College of Medicine may submit one application in each of the three grant areas.
To be considered for the limited submission, information as detailed below must be sent to Research Development by noon, May 8, 2020.
The trust strongly encourages new investigators to apply for funding and generally encourages seed funding of unique or high-priority projects. Projects selected for funding will hopefully have an immediate and direct influence upon the fight against heart disease, cancer and AIDS and have the potential to attract NIH or other support from large funding organizations after the Trust’s support.
Additional information, including previous awards, may be found here.
