It’s free. It takes just seconds to download. And it helps people access the information they need to stay healthy with the tap of a thumb no matter where they are.

It’s the new Penn State Health mobile app, now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

“We designed the app with the goal of making it easier for patients to interact with Penn State Health and find what they need to live a healthier life,” said Cletis Earle, senior vice president and chief information officer at Penn State Health. The app was developed by Information Services colleagues in collaboration with Jerry Griffin, director of consumer insights and digital engagement, and his colleagues in Marketing and Communications.

With the app, people can:

  • Search for a Penn State Health provider by condition, treatment, specialty or ZIP code.
  • Find a Penn State Health hospital or Medical Group practice. People can search by name, specialty, ZIP code or county.
  • Learn how to sign up for Penn State Health OnDemand virtual visits.
  • Search for health care services.
  • Learn how to sign up for a Penn State Health patient portal.
  • Pay their hospital bill.
  • Browse clinical trials by category or keyword.
  • Find career opportunities.
  • Get COVID-19 updates.
  • Access the latest news about Penn State Health.

“Now that the app is live, we’re working on new features to enhance the patient and user experience, which we expect to roll out in the upcoming months,” Earle said.
