Leadership at Hershey Medical Center and the College of Medicine are working to provide employees with safe spaces to take breaks and minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Employees using theses rooms should follow room-occupancy and social-distancing requirements of six feet or more. They also should wear masks when they are not eating and drinking ― for example, visiting with colleagues, talking on the phone or reading. This applies in common dining spaces as well.
All safety and cleaning protocols are in place for these break spaces.
Here’s a listing of the approved safe break rooms, along with the maximum number of people they can accommodate and other information:
- 30 Hope Drive, Room 1019 –– six people, available daily 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to June 30, 2021
- 30 Hope Drive, Room 2005A/B –– nine people, available daily from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to June 30, 2021
- 30 Hope Drive, Room 1710 A/B –– nine people, available daily from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to June 30, 2021
- Room C6805 –– nine people, available before 11 a.m. and after 2 p.m., seven days a week, to Monday, Feb. 15.
- Junker Auditorium –– 34 people, available daily after 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. to Feb. 1
- LR-B (C5621) ― 19 people, available daily after 5:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. to Feb. 1
- Dermatology conference room (UPC 4200) ― six people, available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Health Information Management room ― six people, available from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.
- University Physician Center 1010 Conference Room ― nine people, available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Lobby area outside T2500 ― four people
- Cancer Institute, 3rd floor lobby ― eight people
- Cancer Institute, 4th floor lobby ― eight people
