Kindergarten is the celebration of the beginning of a journey for most children, but not every child has the skills they need on the first day of school.
Enter United Way of the Capital Region’s Ready for School, Ready to Succeed program, which helps prepare children academically and socially.

You can support this school readiness program by giving as little as a dollar a week to Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine’s 2020 United Way campaign. The annual fundraiser runs through Friday, Nov. 20.
“This year, our goal is not about the amount of dollars raised, but about increased participation,” said Steve Massini, Penn State Health CEO, and Dr. Kevin Black, College of Medicine interim dean. “We hope that even amid this pandemic, you will consider contributing to the campaign.”
